Rosebank’s core values are homeliness, safety, trustworthiness, respect, hospitality and service.
We provide safe, compassionate and individualised care. Rosebank staff respect residents’ unique life experiences, needs and values – including culture, ethnicity and spirituality.
Established in 1992, Rosebank has gone from strength to strength. We have recently built 27 new 2 & 3 bedroom villas, each with their own private and secure patio, garden and internal access garage.
Rosebank’s staff training and systems are among the best in the country. We’re accredited by the Nursing Council of New Zealand to provide competency assessment programmes; which ensure Nurses are safe to practice in New Zealand.
Set in one of Mid Canterbury’s most scenic areas, Ashburton, halfway between Timaru and Christchurch, Rosebank is lucky enough to be provided with a thriving shopping and cultural centre plus easy access to horse racing, top class fishing, golf, tennis, walks and snow sports.
Ashburton has medical, pharmaceutical and specialist services, plus community service organisations, Churches and hobby groups that give Rosebank residents the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities.
We’re offering great opportunites for friendly, high quality nurses at Rosebank Resthome & Hospital.
Sue oversees all aspects of the business and is your contact for enquiries about Rosebank, including more information about our wonderful new Villas.

Kathleen Graham is Rosebank’s Village Coordinator. An enrolled nurse, she has worked in several retirement villages in Christchurch and is now looking forward to working with Rosebank Village residents in what she sees as ‘an exciting new challenge’. Kathleen is in charge of the general requirements of the village and will facilitate aspects of residents’ lives, including coordinating appointments, entertainment, medication and social events. Village meetings are held to decide on the activities agenda, with a lunch at Lake Hood scheduled for next week and other outings around the region also on the cards for summer. The brand new community centre is another area of responsibility for Kathleen. She looks forward to overseeing happy hours, film evenings and bowling events, to name a few of the activities that are due to occur in the centre. The center is a place to get to know each other and any new residents, and an exciting new addition to the Rosebank village. To find out more about Rosebank’s social calender, or to view the village and community centre for yourself, please feel free to call Kathleen on 03 308 0111.
